Will someone explain what this win96 is, and what it does? Is it essential, if so, why? It's new to me. I did find it on my PC. Where do it come from? I'm trying to learn. Thanks!

Win96 is software to program a Radioshack Pro 96 Scanner.


The only one it should have gotten your computer, is if you downloaded it.

<edit> I forgot you can also program a Radio Shack Pro 2096 scanner with it.

Thanks Bala! I don't remember downloading it into my PC. I downloaded some info on the PRO-2096. Maybe it got in there that way. I have the BCD996T, so it wouldn't do me any good anyway. Thanks again!
