I just bought the pc-interface cable, so i can program my 97 scanner... I was wondering if there is any CSV files that are pre-made so that it will save me a lot of time, and help me out wih getting the frequencies.. are they available or does anyone here have one? I live in the Sacramento / Placer County region of California. I am fairly new and it would be a HUGE help

Thanks RolnCode3, I really appreciate it.
I am new to scanning and Im trying to understand how to logically place frequencies in banks with certain systems etc... Basically, what I'm looking for is Placer County SO/Fire, Roseville Police/Fire, Rocklin Police/Fire, Folsom Police/Fire, Lincoln PD, CDF, basicallt the various police/fire/chp/cdf around the roseville/granite bay area where I live. Do you have any resources that I can learn from, trying to program this thing withough knowing what Im doing with Win97 is pointless. haha. I am also left with a BC220XLT now that I got my Pro 97... any ideas how I can divvy them up and how I can use each one now?

No problem. Those two files I sent have almost every single one of those agencies ( I think Rocklin Fire might not have made it, or I haven't been able to verify the info I put in). Programming a scanner like these without software is a play with frustration. I would program it with the software, and read the manual as you use it more...tweak individual channels, see how you do little changes. You'll figure out how it all works without being overwhelmed (and not having any fun with a non-programmed scanner).

Yeah, your scanner can only hold one. You can open two on win97 to compare them.

Rocklin and Placer Fire are in one of the files, not in the other. Roseville and Folsom are both on TRSs, so I included them in the trunked data. CDF was also done in at least one of the files. I have a better CDF file for the 246T that could be exported if necessary. Quite a few channels.

I'm more into LE mutual aid, so I make sure I have room for all the LE, and Fire takes a backseat to a certain extent.

How do you program them? Do I program them similar minus the Trunked stuff that the 220 can't hone in on?

Well I programmed my BC220XLT with all the non trunked stuff.. and suprisingly the BC220XLT scans extremely fast, and works great... so I guess my main use for the Pro97 will be use of trunked stations... so I need to set it up with all local trunked systems.. and perhaps various other non trunked stuff that scans the same as the bc220xlt so that I can pick up 2 frequencies, at once.
