What make and model is the radio?
How is it connected to the computer?
How is it configured in the program?

Here is the picture I have so far.

Something is connected to COM1.
You have a Radio Shack scanner.
The scanner is tapped.

I still don't know which Radio Shack model or how it is connected to the computer.

For decoding from discriminator audio you need an audio recording device - usually the microphone or line input. The program won't decode discriminator audio from a serial port.

So you arre saying that this program is an audio only decoder and will not decode from serial connection like the old trunker i will try that and see ift it works.

It won't accept data from a slicer. Some of the newer radios will partially decode and pass data over the serial port. Some models support computer control -which can be useful even on a tapped radio. That's why I asked what model.

Half the modes supported by the program can't be handled by a slicer (including a 4LFSK slicer). That's why audio input is used.
