BC125AT: Windows 7 won't see scanner

I am using Windows 7 Pro. and trying to open BC125AT but program states can't ind com port. Will BC125AT not work on Windows 7 pro?

What program states this? Are you using Uniden OEM cable or an aftermarket?

Can't find com port, The usb I am using works with my 436 and other programs. Also I can use the usb and scanner on my Windows 10 with no problems.

I have an old Windows 7 laptop, it's not supported by anything and I find it doesn't work with anything from today lol.

And you've followed all the instructions here? If yes, at which step is the error encountered?

Never had a problem with Win 7 and the BC125AT. I'm using Butel.

Uniden have TWO driver versions for the BC125AT. For Win.7 they originally had BC125AT_CDC_WIN7.inf. For Win10/W11 which required signed drivers they have the Uniden Universal Serial Driver.

The Uniden Universal Serial Drive *should???* work on W7 however for BOTH W7, 10/11 you must have BOTH the .inf and .cat files. .inf file will not work on it's own.

As you are on W7 then go for the pre Win8 driver.
