Can anyone tell me if Winston Salem/Forsyth County system is analog or digital. I have a
Bearcat Trunk Tracker 2. I have the freq. program in, but you still can not understand what they are saying.
Thanks,
Carl

They must be. I pick them up fine with my BCD396T. It is digital. However, with my BC330T I just get noise. The 330 is trunk tracker III but not digital.

Most of the system uses digital. If you go to the RR DB, you will see there are very few analog talkgroups. You will have to get a digital trunktracker to follow police, fire, etc.

The only channel still analog is the multicast of the county fire dispatches on the old VHF county fire channel (154.205 csq) for the benefit of the pagers and station sirens, doors, lights, etc. City fire is now using MOSCAD to alert stations.
