I live in Waukesha and I am monitoring with a Pro-97 with a radioshack external antenna mounted on a cookie tray and I am getting 453.425 pl:94.8. is there a repeater in the Milwaukee area? or I figured maybe the atmospheric conditions are just right.

Hiya All....

Yes...there is a repeater in downtown Milwaukee. For What It's Worth, 453.4250 is patched to the Wisconsin State Fair Park's UHF TRS in West Allis. This is because WI Capitol Police are responsible for law enforcement on the fairgrounds.

actually Capitol PD has nothing to do with State Fair Park anymore. After Capitol quit providing services for them, they went back to having a State Fair Park Police Department.

I knew that they were planning on backing out of the Fair Park, but I wasn't sure it already happened. I wonder why there still is a simulcast of 453.425 to WSFP UHF TRS then?
