The talk groups are likely DMM. The article notes Decatur will remain on Phase 1 but doesn't state they will remain on the old system for the time being which would hint they are migrating but don't have Phase 2 optioned in their radios. This may become another good example of natural translation to Phase 2 where you don't force users to upgrade to Phase 2 but essentially put a requirement that any new radios past a certain date be Phase 2 enabled to be put onto the system. This does several things, it allows for a natural migration (as radios fail they are replaced) in addition to saving some money in the long term as with several vendors it's significantly cheaper to option Phase 2 when you purchase versus trying to purchase Phase 2 as a feature upgrade post-sale.

Thanks Ben. Updated to 'T'.
They've got a fire working in New Fairview/Rhome currently and an EMS helo on the way to a station for a victim. I'm guessing the helo radios aren't programmed yet, so they'll probably use VHF Interop channels. Fire is working on Wise Fire 2.

I guess they changed up the system. 151.25 is now the control channel. I'm hearing them again now.

I think they've reduced the power or perhaps yesterday's storms had an effect on something. It's not coming in consistently strong, like it was previously.

I am having issues getting my scanner to pick up the new system. I am pulling everything from Radio Reference and loading with ARC500 am I missing something? I cant pick anything up on the new system. Still getting everything in Decatur though. What is needed to get this programmed right?

Radio Shack Pro-106 Digital Trunking. I thought it was. But looking at things now and a little more research I now find out I have been fighting for nothing.....
The good news is that the BCD436 is reasonably priced on amazon if you don't want to cash in your 401K on a SDS ...

Hello Group

I can pick up the Wise County P25-II System here in Azle. I have been logging the system and from what I can tell everything on RR is correct so far except for tg 21002 seem to be Wise Co SO Information channel when active but that’s not very much.

I have been logging UID’s if anyone is interested, I can also put a private feed if anyone wants to listen to the system, just PM or email me. Just wanting to know how interested everyone is about the system.
