WJ-8711 Owners out there?

Any Radio Reference members out there owner of WJ-8711's? I have just purchased a WJ-8711A. I have some questions about the firmware versions. My radio is loaded with version 4.01.4 and I think that 4.01.10 is the latest version. Does anyone know if it is possible to get the latest firmware version for the 8711? Also would be interested in the differences if any that would really matter that exist between 4.01.4 and 4.01.10.

I don't have any info, but one of the last 3 issues of Pop Comm had a nice article about the history of WJ receivers. The author owned a few of them and seemed to be an authority on operating and servicing them.

Maybe you could get in touch with the author? I still might have that issue in the recycle bin.
