I have an SDS200 and an SDS100. Also have a Home Patrol 2. I also do OP25 and DSD+ Trunking and have a Whistler TRX-1.

I'm considering buying a BCD325P2 to put in the truck and camper.

Seriously, there is no compelling reason to buy the 325 other than I want one to play with.

Would you?

Great little scanner. I love mine. BUT ... if you are planning to use it to listen to a simulcast P25 system, chances are very good it won't work for that.

Oh and I understand the motivation. I don't think I've ever talked on more than one HT at once, yet I have ... more than one.

At least one can listen to more than one scanner at a time!

The 325 is the perfect scanner to use anywhere. I use it in the truck, the wife's car, in the garage, while working outside. I have an SDS100 but when I just want a scanner in the background it's the 325. It's also great just to run service searches while listening to another scanner. I also have the 125AT for rail, air and marine scanning.

I have dozens of Short wave radios, untold RTL-SDR's, some ham radio stuff, and scanners, and pocket knives, and coins, etc...........

Oddly enough I have a pretty cool wife, but we're older and I told her long ago, if I can have my toys you'll always know where I am. Shut that down and you might have to guess. She actually shows some interest in my junk. However if she walks up to me and says........we need a new widget or a new lamp or something I comply without complaint

I got lucky this time around.
