I'm coming to Dayton in May for the Ham radio convention. I'm going to be staying at the Hope Hotel

I been looking at data base for Wright Patterson Airforce base, and they have two system aI have a Question, do I have to program the FDMA into the scanner? or can I just program the UHF trunk system into the scanner? and dose anybody have any frequency for the Hope hotel?

Not seeing anything site-specific after doing a mile proximity search at the hotel's coordinates (approx 39.79965 lat, -84.04310 long) If you can confirm they use radios you might want to check the list of common business frequencies or enable close call if your scanner supports it (may not work with DMR simplex ops)

I do not have any info on the Hope Hotel. You can program the UHF trunked system in your scanner, However I do not believe that the info on the base has been updated in RadioReference in a while. 90% of the base radio communications our now encrypted. I know all of the public safety and security talk groups are encrypted, I see they have updated the encryption status for the Air Force Museum talk group. I scan the base daily just in case something changes but when ever i get a hit on a talk group from the base it is usually a facility maintenance talk group. ,

you are right looking around the radio reference you can find it on the us air force radio system which is a p25 radio system, Listening to it you can hear like the transportation and maybe you like the maintenance. Listening to the different areas to find out more about it. plus also checking out the different areas like you can find the air traffic control. uselessly is out of the Dayton area. Plus also finding out about more on there
