ws 1080 audio out

my new honda crv has usb jacks but no 1/8 in audio input. i don't see any setting to send audio out via the usb. to my sound system. am i misssing something?

Be aware most newer scanners have a floating speaker circuit. So NO ground on either speaker lead.

You would need an isolation transformer to go into the Honda sound system, even thru the USB on the sound system.

If your CRV is a 2016 model, the sales brochure says this:

"The USB Audio Interface is used for direct connection to and control of some current digital audio players and other USB devices that contain
MP3, WMA or AAC music files. Some USB devices with security software and digital rights-protected files may not work."

Even if there's a way to send audio from the 1080 via the USB port, it appears that the CRV's USB input may not work as a strictly audio input.

Does your CRV have Bluetooth? If so, you can get a Bluetooth adapter that will work with your 1080 ...
