I am trying to decide on the purchase of a WS 1080, now that Amazon has them for $375. But the problem is I can't find any web site where I can download the manual so that I can examine this radio's capabilities. Any help finding a copy of the manual for the 1080?
One of the things I am trying to determine is whether I can input a simple nfm frequency into the radio manually, since I don't see any number keypads on the radio.
Any comments?

Yes .. you can enter in a conventional frequency without a keyboard on the 1080 and now 1095.

WS1080Manual

Whistle-Shack provided the link. I can say as a Pro96 and scanner user since 1975 NOT having all kinds of buttons to find is a relief. I can use the controls for the WS1080 in the dark. You use scroll and up/down/left/right arrows to change things and add frequencies. It's also faster than you would think as a lot of the times numbers or letters are already sitting there or close to the one you want. THIS video

of the new WS1095 and conventional freqs will give you an idea. *note, when scrolling in the alpha tag you can press "skip" and hold it when you're
done and all letters to the right of where you want to stop will vanish. It's easier than scrolling to input the blank space.
