also TDIG 85768 85238 85298 85228 85278 85268 85338 85748 60850

I wouldn't bother reporting these unless you can confirm voice traffic. Most of these are probably test groups being used to test the system and are not ultimately valid.

Heard this morning on S42 was a transmission from WSDOT Transpo unit helping someone on I-5. TGID 60102. Didn't sound like a WSP dispatcher on the other end so I presume WSDOT has their own communications people monitoring.

Wasn't a Tom unit, was it?

I added the alt CC info for site 156. I'm holding off adding any TG's. There isn't enough information yet to determine what their use is and if they are system wide or site specific.

Sure sounded like it. The transmission caught me off guard and I didn't get a recording so I'll try and confirm ASAP.

Tom units are normally on WSP main dispatch channels...

I'm wondering if this is gonna be new SOP, or they're testing something out ie a patch.

I think it'd be ridiculous to set up a wide area P2 system just for DOT when it can easily handle WSP traffic as well.

Current TGID update -- confirmed voice on these channels:

60001 - Encryption
60100 - (Chat related to 60102)
60102 - Seattle Traffic (I-5) (basically these are the TOM units on WSP -- but only use number callsigns. A few work the main I-5 freeway and one is assigned to express lanes.)
60130 - Security (but not sure where exactly) -- just heard encryption today but it's mostly in the clear
60150 - (Random chat)
60850 - WSF Ferry Operations - Primary
60851 - WSF Ferry Operations - Secondary

There's another one I'm spacing at the moment. 60x00 which is the "shop" but not sure of exact location. It definitely is in King County.

PS. Lot of activity today due to high winds. Apparently a tree fell down onto 520 blocking traffic in some lanes. Also a tree down on 405. I'll post recordings later tonight.

Is this activity on S42?

Just hearing testing down here in the South Sound (Thanks to nr158 for the heads up)
Need to get SDRTrunk fired up to monitor around the clock.

TGID 60100 is "Shop" (I seem to hear the Radio Techs on this channel)
TGID 60120 (from Site 38 report of tree down)
TGID 60150 is "Yard Ops"

Instead of posting individual recordings here's the whole lot from today: https://www.dropbox.com/s/ej5chkf23rvz2a9/WSDOT-10.13.2020.zip?raw=1

FYI, you can clearly hear the audio differences when they're piping in audio from the older system. I presume that's just temporary until they do the full cutover later this year...
