I'm quite surprised that this didn't get posted last night by Viper or LGLHOOK since they are pretty good about keeping up on things close to home.

KUTV - One person is dead and two others are on the run after a home invasion robbery in West Valley City.

Around 10:30 Thursday night police say two armed men barged into a couple’s home near 3500 South and 4400 West.

The intruders taped the woman inside to a chair while they men forced her husband to walk them through the home to locate valuables, according to police.

“The bad guys were taking him through the house gathering valuables. He was able to overpower one of them and take their gun," said Lt. Lamont Cox, West Valley City Police.

The homeowner shot and killed one of the suspects and the other man took off, Cox said.

I actually had heard some of the response. I missed the original dispatch due to a pursuit occurring on I-80 at the same time. I only heard the k9 response and did not know the details and severity of this call.

I am sorry qlajlu, you know if I would have heard it, I would have posted it ;-). 10:30 was wayyyyyyyy past my bed time because 4:00am comes mighty early. However, I did talk to one of my WV buddies and he was telling me all about it. I do have to say, I love to read what the media has to say and then get the "real story" from someone involved.
