Does anyone have an accurate list of the state used wildland channels? I have one from 2 or 4 years ago, and I am willing to make a new category, but not sure if they change as often as some of the Federal ones to make it worthwhile...

Any of the frequencies should be good still. The AG channels and all the Cad base stuff is still good.

The only thing that changes from year to year are the PL tones associated with a repeater. Forest Service is the worst. It changes so much, most of the FS workers don't even know what they new ones are. That is why the BK stuff is so popular, you can make changes on the fly.

That said, at least the frequencies stay the same.

I should have the state channels up later tonight... if anyone recognizes they layout/format and can submit corrections that would be great.

I am still working on clarifications but at least its a starting point.

Guys, take a look at this: State Foresty Scanner Frequencies and Radio Frequency Reference

Some quick FCC searching shows a couple of the channels are licensed back into WyoLink and Montanna Dept of Emergency Services.

If anyone knows/has access to current information I'll update/delete the above list as needed. I do know these were in use in the northwest corner of the state (Yellowstone area) and from my source it is believed to be statewide - but again the information may be a little dated.

That appears to be the Montana Mutual Aid Frequency Chart.
Wyoming does not use colors for channels and only uses a few of those listed

Do you have a list of those in use in Wyoming and designations?

The list came out of the Yellowstone area as Wyoming channels, with Montana involvement so in a way I figured it was more of a Montana thing.

Sounds good. Shoot me a PM when you do and I'll make the necessary changes.

Should I just kill the entry for now? Seems like a new fresh start would be easy.

Getting an early start and reviving this...

But does anyone have current freq's still for this, or should I just nuke this category for now (as these seem to be the Montana channels)?

I think that this line pretty much says it, "These frequencies are known to be used for State Wildland Fire Incidents and also may be shared with resources in Montanna." and *if* there are any major changes that need to be actually done it would be better done at the beginning of next year's fire `season' rather than doing something to be doing something?

Not really. That was the line given to the rrdb on the assumption they were Wyoming channels, but they really are part of, or are the Montanna channel plan - not wyomings. Hence the clairlification needed.
