XHData D-109WB Clock

When I bought my XHData D-109 WB back in August the clock didn’t keep time well. It would lose a couple of minutes every day. Now I’ve noticed I can check the clock after not noticing it for a few days and it is keeping accurate time. Not complaining, I’m happy, but I’m curious- why?

Mine seems to be pretty accurate, unlike my Radio Solar. It's the volume that's funky on mine, decreasing the volume is nice and smooth but increasing it is erratic at times. Sometimes nothing changes until it's suddenly way too loud or I turn it off and then back on to a louder volume.
