XPR5550e assistance

I recently obtained a XPR5550e that came to the previous owner without a control head, he purchased a used head from flea bay and installed it, powered up and the screen was stuck in boot loop.

I get it in today, download a matching firmware from customer hub, and do the recover on it, and somehow, it updated the radio with 5350e firmware. I subsequently lost all screen capabilities.

I was in contact with Mother M today and after reviewing it, the serial number that displays on CPS2.0 is a XPR5550e, which matches the radio.

My question is, without the dreaded Depot, is there any way to force the correct firmware into the radio, I’m too far past to used CPS 16, and after upgrading, I can’t even revert down to r2.21 or anything of the sort.

The serial doesn't determine the model, the model number and tanapa do. There isn't separate firmware for the 5350 vs the 5550 either. The D is the only way.

That’s what I’m saying, the model number and Tanapa, on the radio body, does not match the programming. The only thing that matches is the serial, which according to Mother M, comes back to a 5550e, he read off all of the entitlements it has and everything which matches the serial in the CPS and on the radio. Definitely weird
