Your PM's are not private and the administration has the right to read them if there's a hint to criminal activity.

    If you are having trouble legally obtaining software please state so. We do not want any hurt feelings when your vague post is mistaken for a free request. It is YOUR responsibility to properly word your request.

    To obtain Motorola software see the Sticky in the Motorola forum.

    The various other vendors often permit their dealers to sell the software online (i.e., Kenwood). Please use Google or some other search engine to find a dealer that sells the software. Typically each series or individual radio requires its own software package. Often the Kenwood software is less than $100 so don't be a cheapskate; just purchase it.

    For M/A Com/Harris/GE, etc: there are two software packages that program all current and past radios. One package is for conventional programming and the other for trunked programming. The trunked package is in upwards of $2,500. The conventional package is more reasonable though is still several hundred dollars. The benefit is you do not need multiple versions for each radio (unlike Motorola).

XPR7550E "Last Selected Channel" on power up not working

So now I'm here with another question about my XPR7550E, sooo... y'know the Power Up option to select which channel you want to start at, or the last selected channel? Well... it's... kinda not working for me. Lemme explain;

I have a "Talkaround" zone, two channels for the two different modes; Analog and Digital. It's great. One problem; for the longest time, I've been using the Analog channel because I've not had any other DMR radio, up until yesterday when I got my XPR6550 (I got a DGP6150 about two weeks ago that Motorola won't help me with, so that's a paperweight, but that's neither here nor there), so now that I have this fleeting need to be able to start my radio and already be at Channel 2 ("Digital" in the Talkaround zone), my radio doesn't do this? I know of a workaround or two, but if I decide to go back to Analog and start up from there, I don't exactly want to have to switch the channel knob back and forth every time, I'd much rather this work the way it's supposed to. Or is it just unavoidable? If it's unavoidable, then it's really not the end of the world.

Any and all help would be appreciated, thanks

is desired zone set to none?
Yes, and for some reason, my problem seems to have fixed itself last night, sorry about that, meant to say so before bed, but I didn't think about it given how tired I was at the time

Sorry again, but everything's good now
