using mobile as base, when scanning it stops on 146.925, only way to start scanning again is to use the forward dial, what is causing this? it never did it before? thank you and Merry Christmas everyone

It sounds like the "Scan-Resume" function got placed in the "Hold" position. There are three settings for scanning:
BUSY: Scanning will stop when a signal is encountered, then resume 2 seconds after the signal ends.
TIME: The scan will stop on a signal and hold for five seconds. It will then resume even if the signal is still there.
HOLD: The scan will stop on a signal and will not start automatically. You have to use the dial to restart the scan.

The function is set with Menu item 37 in the SET mode. See page 42 of the manual.
