Is the 920 an all band radio (TX)? thinking about buying it and want to talk on the marine freq's...

According to Yaesu it is TX only on Amateur bands.
First of all you need an FCC certified marine radio. Then you can't just talk on the marine band, to remain legal it must be boat to boat unless you operate a marina or other ship to shore operation and then you need a shore station license. Again to remain legal you can then only communicate with boats on the water. Not only does the FCC frown upon chit-chat on land but legal operators within range will give you all kinds of grief.
