Back in The late 80s mid 90s City of Dallas PD Northwest division had a male dispatcher I think his name was bill ? He was a slow talking good ole boy that had a humorous way of saying things over The radio never heard a dispatcher quite like him ,
I'm sure people monitoring this channel back then remember the dispatcher I'm talking about
I remember that if it was the same guy from the 1970s. Also the fire department had one that sounded just like Jimmy Carter.

Sam Lanier:)
It was great that the producers of EMERGENCY were able to get a real LCFD dispatcher to do some voiceover. He had a great voice for that job.

Nedra Thompson, Hall Ambulance, Bakersfield CA.

When the crap hit the fan, you could hear it in the dispatchers' voiced. Then her voice would come on the radio, and calm would lay over the county like a weighted blanket. She would magically produce ambulances from thin air. She was affectionally known as "Momma Nedra" and was our Angel of the Radio. RIP Nedra.

In the day..."The Hawk" was the voice of "Radio Free" Troop I - Bethany, Connecticut State Police when they were on the 42mhz low band. Often missing in action from the desk....Cars calling in...no answer and then finally a harried voice would come over the radio "The Hawk has flown the coop...we're searching for him"
