Hi guys, I've been scanning digital for years. I'm just wondering if analog is still being used and if so, what are the most popular frequencies?

I know ERT is in my town now, but I don't hear them on digital. They did a few searches yesterday close to my place and was I curious to see what they were using.

Ii do have a few analog scanners laying around that I could program.

Thanks in advance

The old ERT was in the 410-414 area. The new LMRN will all be in the 770-775 area. In either case expect them to be encrypted. CC should capture them if your close enough, maybe not too close though :) . The rest of OPP/EMS will still be on fleetnet in Zone 3

ERT or TRU?

ERT are just specially trained regular officers and would operate on whatever the locals use. They assist in establishing perimeters, Search and Rescue, canine tracks, etc. When a call comes in, they leave their regular patrol area and head to the call.

TRU team members are dedicated officers who only do TRU work. Before LMRN, they would typically be found on a UHF simplex channel while enroute and if the call goes on long enough, a repeater would be deployed on the same frequency. 99% of the time they would be encrypted. The frequency was in the database the last time I checked.

Now that officers are receiving LMRN portables, it's hard to say where they might end up. Back in the old NOR days when everyone else was VHF, they still carried UHF portables.

Okay, they were teaming up with regular OPP. 2 Tahoe's and the TRU guys all in green with a grey F150.
