Whistler Upgrad for the GRE PSR-800

I am thinking of upgrading my GRE PSR-800, but I really do not need the Whistler DMR feature. Since I do not need the DMR feature, will the scanner benefit from Whistler upgrade?

Others may have different opinions, but I say yes since you will receive all current and future firmware updates available for the Whistler model.

You'll also be able to manually program systems and freqs.

Ditto. While I have a Pro-668, getting the official upgrade was totally worth the money. It's now got the latest firmware and DSP, and performs much better, plus there's guaranteed support in the future.
