The Baton Rouge Police Department lost one of their own today when
a 7 year veteran of the traffic division died from injuries suffered in a motorcycle accident around 10:00 am local time. From initial reports
the officer was traveling northbound on South Sherwood Forest Blvd
at the intersection of New Castle Dr. when a vehicle traveling south
apparently pulled out in front of the officer while said vehicle was making a left turn on to New Castle. The vehicle was struck on the
front passenger side. Thoughts and prayers are needed at this time
