Hello:

I am confused with respect to The Bell Fleetnet - Ontario Provincial Government System. Are there really 4 systems covering the province OR is there only one system that has 4 Smart Zones and they are named 1,2,3 and 4 and listed in RR as 4 systems? Could someone please clarify?

Thanks,

There's four separate systems. They're not zones of the same system - I asked that a couple years back.

No idea why it's done that way - the province certainly doesn't need that kind of resource allocation.

Thanks For The Info

Thanks for the info. Does anyone know what the Smart Zones are for each of these 4 Fleetnet Systems?

What do you mean by "what the Smart Zones are"?

It's not like, for example, Manitoba FleetNet, where the three system IDs are zones in the same overall system. The four system IDs in Ontario's FleetNet system each represent a completely separate trunk system, so each system is "zone 1" as far as Smartzone terminology itself is concerned.

Ontario is Smart Zone Manitoba is Smart Zone Omnilink. Is it only for the Omnilink systems that they will specify zones?
