Blount County plain talk

Blount County law enforcement seems to have switched from 10-codes to plain talk beginning with the evening shift tonight, or at least that's when I noticed it. They're even saying "acknowledge" instead of 10-4, or are trying to anyway. I don't think I could stop saying 10-4 either.

They're still on VHF, patched with AIRS.

They stopped using 10 codes due to interoperability. Talked to a deputy about the other day, its a homeland security thing. 10 codes don't mean the same across agency's.
