About 4 miles up Left Hand Canyon the Maxwell Fire 20ish acres with some evacs just ordered and a SEAT is overhead now.

Maxwell Fire U/D: Red-6 is CMD and Operations are on Red 3, 4 & 5. Evacuations are now in progress.

From berthoud it really blew up after about 5;45 and we are have very gusty winds Id guess 20 plus MPH the smoke plume is getting very big very fast.

Ill be unlocking my boulder bank on my live feed for this event Ill post when done in forums
Im at work tonight but Ill see if my wife can change the radio for us.

Command now reporting 100-300 acres and evac is a 1.5 mile radius.

When is Boulder and Left Hand Canyon ever going to stop being lit on fire? Its starting to feel like California again....I havent even heard of a major fire come out of Cali?? Whats up?

They've switched over to Type 3 management frequencies. All of the county RED x channels have been released.

Reporting 20% containment.

I don't have these as Type 3, but they were mentioned by command:

The article states there are 2 heavy air tankers available, but I just heard they were diverted to higher priority fire (Duckett Wildfire).

That would be why my house is no longer rattling every 5 mins i am in line of the jeffco tanker base.
