I can see where you can search the database for just about anything -- frequencies, descriptions, system IDs, etc. The one thing I can't see on there is how to search for a talk group id. If I find a talk group when wildcard scanning, I would have figured there is some place I can just type that talkgroup in on the RR database and get all systems with that TGID.

Am I missing something or is this not there?

Did not see anything about this anywhere else on here.

Thanks... Mike T

Since you are 'wildcard' scanning, you already know what system you're now scanning. It's a simple matter of going to that system in the RR database, then (in Windows) click EDIT > FIND, then type in the TG number.

If it's a new TG, you won't find it; otherwise, it'l pop right up.

Yeah - I suppose that you are right, but it seems like it is something that would be pretty easy to add since the data is there. Just another database field search.

Thanks... Mike

So you put in a TG number and get back a screen full of data even when searching just one state? I don't see the value. I have to read the whole screen or do a Find on this page operation. It would be just as easy to list the system I am listening to and do the Find. It looks to me like a waste of processing power.JMO though.
