CHP - Roseville, CA

Looking for some direction please. I have been trying to get CHP on my Uniden BCD396XT in the Roseville, Ca area. I have gone as far as to load everything CHP using ARC-XT/RR...and I get nothing. What frequency do i need to have? Thank you in advance.

You're in Auburn (45) area. Green channel, 45.36 Base, 42.72 Mobile. Grass Valley (42) and Placerville (44) are on the same channel which is dispatched by Sacramento. If you care, the PL is 167.9.

Thank You Mark ... I just made the programing updates using the ARC-XT/RR ... See if I get anything. So far nothing.

If you are using the stock antenna, it's likely you'll have a very difficult time receiving CHP. A dedicated VHF Low band antenna will help greatly.

There are a lot of threads here on RR regarding receiving CHP, antenna issues and the like. You should also know that while CHP in Roseville uses the Green channel, an "incident" may take place on the Blue channel.

Mag-mount CB antenna will work in a pinch

I travel that corridor often. A Larsen NMO40 whip is the antenna for the job.
