On 1-3-08 at approximately 10:50 A.M. The Colorado State Patrol's Aircraft tracked a reported stolen vehicle. The vehicle was tracked by "LoJack" a highly sophisticated police tracking computer utilized by law enforcement agencies. The Patrols pilot immediately notified CSP road Troopers for assistance. A Trooper who's patrol cruiser was also equipped with the LoJack computer also tracked the stolen vehicle until the officer had visual contact with the targeted vehicle. The officer attempted to initiate contact with a blue 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee, however the vehicle did not yield to the patrol car and a short pursuit ensued into the city limits of Centennial, CO.
The driver of the Jeep terminated the pursuit by stopping in a residential area in Centennial, CO. The driver then led officers on a foot pursuit within the residential area and was later apprehended approximately 1/4 of a mile from the vehicle.
Officers with the Arapahoe County Sheriffs Department assisted with the search and there have been no reported injuries or damage to property during this entire incident.
The driver of the Jeep Grand Cherokee has been identified as Adam P. Bargy,
33 of Littleton, CO. Bargy was arrested and transported to the Arapahoe County Jail and charged with the following:
1st degree aggravated motor vehicle theft a class 4 Felony Identity theft a class 4 Felony Possession of a financial device a class 6 Felony Possession of burglary tools a class 6 Felony Reckless driving a class 2 traffic Misdemeanor Criminal trespassing a class 3 Misdemeanor Drove vehicle while under revocation a Misdemeanor
