E-2 Hawkeye at KAPA

Anyone else see that E-2 Hawkeye shooting approaches at KAPA? Pretty cool to see!

An F-18 took off this morning from runway 17L making a right hand turn to head eastbound. There was all kinds of vapor comin off the hornet! =)

Is there an air show in town? Or just a unit moving though?

No airshows going on. Just pilots perfecting their skills!

Were they on UHF Tower? or VHF Tower freq?

I have no idea Instructor Ron, just saw them flying over my condo complex a few times. I am sure people here where listening to KAPA tower.

Wow, I go to dinner and missed all the action.... But the Navy Bird was on VHF. The tower only pulls out the UHF radio if a bird comes with only UHF. I've only seen it once when some older F-15's came thru and they were UHF only.
