I have just noticed a strange quirk.I have the same system programmed into a 996T, a 396XT, and an HP1.
They all follow the system perfectly. But on the XT and the HP1, there is a sound right before the voice comes through, it sounds like the "motorboat" sound on a digital system. The 996T does not do this. I used Freescan to program the T and XT, and can't find anything different. It only seems to happen when the console at police HQ transmits. The mobiles and portables do not do it. Its nort really a problem, but it has me stumped. The system in question is the Verona New Jersey EDACS narrow. Anyone else notice this on any other systems?
