So I've been looking around for a new antenna and I've come across the EM wave brand. The antenna are bit more expensive but they seem to be built well from what i can see. The problem is a Google search shows barely any reviews. Anyone here own one? How do you like it?

Also, I've noticed tram antennas aren't what they used to be so I'm looking for new brand.

This is the one I've been looking at:
EM Wave EM-M10007-GPI

I saw this one "EM-M22001" posted here that someone mounted on their jeep, which happens to be what I have. Works really good, it's flexible, the top section unscrews leaving the base but don't know why you would need too as its still pretty short. Improved my 800mhz signals much better than the shorter version ones and thou not shown for VHF, still works great in this band as well. Very happy with it. I didn't realize there was a question on this brand so I have a review in this same section about it.

EM Wave makes good stuff. I've seen a lot of their products at trade shows. I haven't used it personally, so I don't know how long they'd last compared to the others. Visually, it all looks good. Time will tell.

Only problem has been finding dealers. They don't see to have the same market penetration as the other brands. I've considered buying a few to try out at work, but the limited number of dealers and high prices has kept me away. A while back they were offering a 'sampler package' that had a couple of different antennas, but it was running $120 or so. I had perfectly good Larsen antennas and didn't feel like spending a bunch of money just to try out a new brand.

I have found a few, the Antenna Farm has on of them, a bit more than I paid, but I have paid more for better antennas but trying to keep them low profile for reasons, this one for under $40 was a good deal and works great as far as I am concerned. I dislike iffy antennas that don't perform so its a trial and error when trying something new, and this one is a winner for me. Got mine from shopwiscomm. Your correct on the marketing side, I only found out about it from someone here that posted about it and funny that it was on a jeep which I have and happen to google up and saw the listing for RR.

They look legit and the specs are really detailed on their website. I'm gna bite the bullet and purchase one soon. I'll update once I have it. Its a shame they don't have alot of publicity.

EMWave is a pretty good outfit; some of the principals used to be with the very highly respected Antenna Specialists brand. I have used some of their products. I can't endorse them globally, but so far my experience has been very good.

I have had the 800mhz version for 3 years now and it works great center mounted on the roof of my suv.
I originally had the Larson NMO3E825B and this works much better, it gave a whole 2 bars more for a distant trunk system then the Larson mounted on the same mount
We also have a local PD that is on 800 trunk and they use them on all 50 of their cars
Hope that helps
