Gas leak and explosion in Detroit

This just happened in Detroit a little after 2pm. Listening right now as it is unfolding. Evacuations are happening now.

A gas leak caused an explosion Thursday on Badger Street on Detroit's east side, said Detroit firefighters.

Hazmat crews are at the scene of the explosion, which happened just after 2 p.m. on the 83oo block of Badger Street.

Wow! what's up with these explosions. One just happened here in San Bruno CA.

Gas has just been de-pressurized and the incident was sent to a Hazmat 1 level. Thankfully no fire currently!!
