On some web pages a box pops up bearing an error message that says: Internet Script Error, In line xxx there is a J missing (sometimes its a letter, sometimes it can be a single word) then it offers an option of continue to run or not, yes/no. In my internet options drop down, there are boxes to check or uncheck referring to internet script errors. I have reset them, clicked them all on, all off, one at a time but still I get errors on some web pages especially my email. I'm pretty sure its something in IE7 that I'm missing. Its now getting irritating clicking boxes to look at a website. I'm running Norton 360 and SystemSuite 9 Professional (with no conflicts) and ad aware, spybot and spyblaster resident and used as needed (I have kids).
Any help or suggestions will be greatly appreciated, so thank you in advance.
I've got to try to sleep, now, 2 am comes early, so I won't be answering any questions until tomorrow afternoon. Life in a bakery...

IE7 Internet Explorer Script Error

Thanks, Polty! I don't believe its Flash, I've never had any problem with it. I'm still on the fence with Firefox, I hear and read good things and bad things about it.
I think one of the security programs has taken over the internet tools and I've just got to find the appropriate place to disable it. I was thinking someone here had ran across the same problem or something close to it and found a solution.
Wish me luck!

"I think one of the security programs has taken over the internet tools"
"I'm running Norton"

Are you now enlightened? Good luck trying to remove it unless you're an ubergeek and know where it insinuates itself and I mean it leaves more tracks than a railroad yard. One way or another it has to go!
Now you mentioned conflicts, while they may not be apparent and just in case you don't already know, NEVER have more than one "anti" program memory resident at a time. Only one should run at start up, the same for firewalls and most protection software because they tend to fight behind the scenes and keep you guessing what the heck is going on.

first off get rid of norton, it is a memory hog and nothing but a pain, to remove it you need a special tool, do a search in google for "remove norton" the first result should take you to the symantec website for the free removal tool.

as far as spyware removal use Malwarebytes anti malware and and superantispyware free, those are the 2 best you can get.

also past experience system suites cause tons of problems trying to help you fix things.

FYI I am a computer tech with my own PC biz so this is not just off hand info I am throwing your way

IE7 Error Messages

Thanks to all for your very good and up to date info! Sorry, Polty, for your script errors (laughing with you, also). It certainly seems that the free programs are extremely better than the ones you have to pay the big bucks for. It also seems the more you pay for them the more problems they cause .

Now, can anyone tell me the best free firewall available and I'll be set to eradicate these problems I'm having.

Now for my next thread...
