What is the difference with this cable vs the KPG-36x ?
the cable is straight USB with nothing in between (native to the 5/6/7/8000 series radios)
(think of it like a type A USB to micro-usb - Viking mobiles all have the Micro USB on them)

If you have a 36XM in USB mode, you won't notice a difference because there isn't one.I wonder if FW would be faster with that cable...although it seems like most of the time is internal to the radios...
what were you quoted? I have it at 178.70 and to be release in March 23'.Kenwood will charge you even more for that cable than they charged for the KPG-36X. Bend over.
