I just caught a transmission on 54760. My (not up to date) HPs didn't have it programmed, so I checked the database. This is currently listed as Ashland County (03) Sheriff. I didn't get enough of the transmission, but I did notice the radio ids both started with 39, Huron County.

Probably just something to keep a listen to for confirmation.

Are you sure it wasn't (0)39? Huron County would be 399xxxx, Ashland County would be 39xxxx. (It took me a while to figure out why all the Athens County talkgroups seemingly had Morrow County IDs.)

Yep. You are correct. It was 039. My ProScan logged it as 390024. I just looked at the display on the radio. I didn't see that it was one digit short until I looked at to next to all the other IDs.

Sure would be handy if these things didn't drop the leading zero....

54118 Radio id 9920 Over 300 hits in one day.

51708 Radio id 9003

Not sure who these are.

I'd say 51708 is going to be an OSP talkgroup. Yeah, I know, everyone talks about the 515xx talkgroups, and they are right. But I know of many OSP talkgroups between 51502 and 51795. So I personally would consider anything in that range as OSP related.

Heck, it might even be that OSP is online up in your area playing around, one of the posts nearby whatever towers you were monitoring.

To add some more confirmation to that, thus far I've seen a ton of 9001xxx through 9004xxx radio IDs on various OSP talkgroups.

Somebody up in your area should start listening to the comms and see what's being said. Or perhaps it's an encrypted TAC talkgroup of one of the posts.

The 9920xxx radio IDs that I've seen have communicated on TG 54218. Not sure what state agency that is, but might be the same state agency that is using 54118.

I have picked up some talk on 51572 which should be the osp dispatch for post 72 Fremont in Sandusky county when they switch over. The talk was a known sheriff deputy voice and a unknown voice telling him he was on the wrong channel.

I have seen hits on 54554 in the last few days. Which is the marcs tech support talk group. So they may be in the area getting some one online.

I have been putting these in my other scanner to listen to but the hits happen mostly during the time when i am at work. So i thought i would post them so as you said someone can start listening to them to figure out who they are.

Here in East Ohio I've seen very few 94xxxxx radio IDs. And for the ones I've seen, I'm fairly certain the talkgroups I've seen them on (54025, 54039, 52006, 54697 and XCALLSE) would lead me to believe that none of the talkgroups I've seen them on are their "primary" talkgroups.

435xx is Scioto. So i'd guess 43519 is some law / SO tac talkgroup in which a state/fed agency is interoping with the scioto co agency.

Pure speculation

On the Middle Point tower late last week, I heard TG 60510 testing a MARCS base, and mentioned to "let the Ohio guys know that that we can put this base in service." Base IDed himself as 1000.

Also caught talk group 53199 talking to the "SOC" with radio ID's of 93XXXXXX

The SOCC is the State of Ohio Computer Center. I am guessing this would be a DAS talkgroup but it could possibly another state agency.
