Yeah DNR/NRP has some odd talkgroup ranges. So far on FiRST, DNR Voice Activity or Keyups have been on 14201, 14204, 14205, 14206, 14207, 14208. Also noticed some recent activity on 7574 (ENC), 7589, and 7541 that also appear to be DNR related.

NRP was always on 75xx but 142xx talkgroups have only showed up in less than 2 months. These appear to be Parks. Forestry (at least the Eastern Shore) have FiRST radios so not sure where their talkgroups range might be?

The database has 14200 as OC Radio Committee Testing but that is from at least 3 years ago and I doubt there is any more activity on that talkgroup. Anyone down that way can confirm that is not active and can be removed from the database?

Maybe DNR TG ranges are bifurcating between NRP and Forestry / Parks / Wlidlife Management? IDK, seemingly inconsistent at this point.

I've always kinda suspected that those 7xxx "patch" talkgroups were probably temporary until the system is more complete and most/all jurisdictions are P25 (FiRST or their own system).

Note: there is an old discussion about 14200 waaaaaaay back here. (wow - 4 1/2 years ago!)

Interesting - I was just updating the wiki with the ranges for Wic/Wor/OC and had "the end" at 14200 (OC)....

BTW - I see someone added a small talkgroup range for Dorchester County -- (13594-13600) - have those really been observed on FiRST (or anywhere else for that matter)? I don't see them in the database. 13599 and 13600 (and many beyond up to 13637) are active Washington County talkgroup IDs (I do realize FiRST and Wash Co are different systems...).

I saw 13595, 13596, and 13600 in use on FiRST last Sunday on the Washington County area sites.

If I had to guess, 75xx was planned to be NRP and maybe some parks talkgroups on it. Then it was decided to move Parks, Forestry, etc. activity to FiRST and that is why they are expanding to different talkgroup ranges.

75xx will be more NRP related while 142xx will be State Parks and other DNR activity.

The radio ids using 13593 - 13600 on FIRST are MD State police - https://forums.radioreference.com/m...maryland-first-700mhz-trs-91.html#post2931328

Hmmm, interesting. I checked my logs, and the following is what I found:

Site 021 - TG 13595: Single source: 2127452, multiple channel grants and continues, in the clear.
Site 020 - TG 13596: Single source: 2127454, multiple channel grants and continues, encrypted.
Site 020 - TG 13600: Single source: 2127453, multiple channel grants and continues, encrypted.

Note that the source IDs are essentially consecutive, which suggests they are consoles or crosslinks.

Looking at data from the MSP Hagerstown TG 7375, there are a number of different source IDs, but several repeat, suggesting they are consoles: mostly 2127416, and occasionally 2127418 and 2127419.

Where are you seeing the small Dorchester TG range?

If anyone up the Baltimore way can add First site NACs to the RRDB, it would be great. I was on the ES yesterday and submitted a few for the shore sites that were missing entries or were in error Some are needed for the Frederick area as well.

Thanks for posting that...

FiRST Admin were testing/key ups on 124xx in May. I was thinking that it might be Allegany or Dorchester but if 118xx is showing up in Allegany than 124xx should be Dorchester.

Allegany is finishing the primary dispatch center this week and next. They plan on going live either the end of next week or the first of the following week. When i can get an accurate channel lay out I'll submit it to the admins.

Thanks Dan,

Keep the group posted.

Additional Allegany county FIRST TG 7294, 7601,7602, 7603.

7294 - Unknown SHA/MDOT talkgroup. Sometimes in the clear and sometimes encrypted.

My guess is 7601, 7602, 7603 are EMRC Call & Med Channels.

Are there more zones not shown with national interop channels? It be shame not to load up an 8500 with *everything*.
