2 weeks ago I bought a Toshiba A135-S4656 laptop from Best buy that was a good price-$350.00. I bought it so I would have a cheap portable to do programming, logging, GPS etc.
The only thing I didn't like about it was that it came with Vista home basic, so I put in a bigger hard drive (with 2 partitions) and more memory(1 gig) and installed XP-SP2 on one and Win 98 on the other partition. I need win 98 still because some of the programs I still use occasionally only run in DOS.
Anyway I am having trouble getting a few of the right drivers for the Video, ethernet and the wireless. Usually XP will just go out on the internet and find the right drivers, but it won't find these. I have looked thru Toshiba's online drivers, but it is not much help since that model only came with Vista. When I put the original hard drive with Vista back in it has all the drivers working fine.
Any ideas or solutions?????
