BCD436HP/BCD536HP: NFM On P25 Channels?

Hi everybody, I was wondering why the scanner says NFM even on P25 channels and also on trunked systems. I thought P25 was different from FM/NFM? Thanks

because p25 is carried over a 2.5 khz deviation bandwidth (NFM) and not a 5khz deviation bandwidth (FM).
