What zones did you hear it on?The Bronx has also been doing the E testing as of this week also. Seems like they're going per borough
46 - 48 as well as the 47 - 49.What zones did you hear it on?
Sentinel should have these changes monday.
Ignoring the usual nonsense above, this is the new RR Database Listing, with NAC, and Callsign for the new NYPD E channels. Sentinel should have these changes monday.
To answer your second question, usually NYPD precinct frequency transmitters are located in the area of the precincts they are servicing and they are not meant to be citywide. These are p25 repeaters. You will not be able to hear any communications on these new p25 100% encrypted channels.Couple questions.
1) why does each frequency have a different FCC license? The NYPD couldn't combine the freqs into one license?
2) with these new P25 freqs, are they repeated/able to be received citywide or are they just available in certain areas like their analog predecessors?
1) The FCC limits the amount of fixed locations per license to 6Couple questions.

Did you happen to log the nac codes from today's testing in the Bronx ?Bronx 46/48 and 47/49 to begin "maintenance" soon. Similar recording to what's being played in the Bronx will be heard once the zones go down. Testing on them continued today, but they have since reverted back to analog. As of now each borough will cut over zones from North to South in each borough. Plans subject to change.
