Quick Question...I've used ProScan for years, have 2 licenses. Use all aspects of the software (Source Client, Web Server, RSOIP) My question is why do so many users set up RSOIP and NEVER verify that they actually work. The vast majority of RSOIP servers won't respond or won't connect for one reason or another. I think mostly because they never open the ports or verify with CANUSEEME that they are working. Mine works try them..

evansvillescanner.webhop.me:5011 also sometimes although not always 5001

The software doesn't know if the ports you assign work or not or if you set up port forwarding correctly. I think another issue may be with not keeping redirect (No IP) servers active and using outdated redirect links.

I've noticed that as well. Sometimes I see 40 or so RSOIP servers listed in the RSOIP client, but only 4 or 5 will respond with a connection. When looking at the "Conn." column for those servers that don't connect, it's not a matter of the server reaching the maximum connections set by the user. I do see a "Server Not Responding Code 1" error shown, but I don't know what that code refers to... maybe a port or IP address error on the server end.

I appreciate you guys bringing this up because although I knew this function was there I never actually turned it on or downloaded the client to play with (on another computer). Been using the web server for remote access because my daily driver is a Mac. Just enabled mine on the ProScan server I have setup.

sds200.indyscan.com - Hamilton county Indiana

I bet it has a lot to do with people not understanding that they need either a static IP or some kind of Dynamic DNS for this to work consistently. They probably set it up, turned it on & forgot about it.

Hopefully you may have just disconnected by the time I checked your RSIOP server, but yours is not responding. I can connect to several others on the list.

The "Update" function on the client still shows yours as active, but this is what I get:

Try mine they are Vanderburgh Co Indiana. My brother's RSOIP (Knox Co, IND) gives the Error Code 1 not responding but he has Port issues and lives 50 miles from me, so I couldn't go fix it for him. Also, he and his wife are up in Chicago for Christmas too. And this Post of yours in my experience on the Vast majority of RSOIP servers.

Whoops, I forgot to restart the other one. My Bad, I restarted that computer and I don't have that one set up for autostart. The one you tried is my feed computer in the detached garage, the other is in the house and connected to my listening post scanner on a completely different computer. (Both being WIN 7 64 Bit) I hate WIN 10. This one has a different link but the EvansvilleScanner link will work for both, if you change the port you can switch between the two. Ports 5003 and 5012

And also, no problems connecting with your web servers through my Chrome browser on your ports 5011 & 5001.
Awesome, I try to maintain my stuff. One of the reasons I dislike those that don't work. Sometimes I change computers and forget that the ports are not the same as my signature and I have to change it. Nice to know all is well. Thanks! Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas to you and yours as well. Your RSOIP ports 5003 & 5012 are both connecting fine.

I'm back online, sorry about that, I didn't hit apply when I setup the port forward. Thanks for letting me know! Merry Christmas Gents.

And eaf1956 we have similar taste in color setups!

Awesome now I can add INDY Scan to my list of RSOIP scanners I listen to. It may just be me but INDY SCAN appears to have close call active.

I started with an SDS100 & added a 200 shortly after. Cloned the settings & left CC on (is there a negative impact with leaving it on?).

I'm under the IND flight path so on VERY few occasions I get a FedEx transmission or an FRS radio from the kids in the neighborhood. Other than that CC doesn't do much on the SDS200.

No, I just use CC when trying to locate a close signal. Not use to seeing it be used constantly. On a Feed Scanner it could cause issues with what is being broadcast but if not doing a feed no issue. In other words it's your scanner use it as you wish.

I noticed since I posted about the RSOIP issue that it appears some people actually checked and fixed their issues. More and more are actually working, although some are obviously misconfiqured like pointing to the audio 3 server. So all in all it did do some good! Merry Christmas to all! Great work BOB!

I am using the SDS200 and ProScan in Discovery mode. The "History Logging" and "Recorder" tabs in ProScan have rows of data; however, the "UID Logging" tab has no data displayed. Am I missing a setting to log the UIDs while in Discovery mode?
Thanks!
