I just turned on my scanner, which I have not had on since summer and noticed I am not getting any OPP. I have been using my Pro96 for a long time, listening occasionally.

Edit - I am hearing a few things now, been few a far between. Maybe they are transitioning to a new system?

I'm here a lot
One of the giveaways if your area is transitioning is putting it into ID Search between 141.000 to 144.000 MHz. If a voice transmission or Data link comes up with a NAC beginning with AD or similar, that is the new system. In SW Ontario, we have found frequencies with NAC's from AD0 to AD9.

If it begins with 2F or similar, that is the current system, still active.

The displayed NAC can be decoded as follows.
AD3 would be AD the first two digits of the system AD9 (PSRN)
3 is the last digit in the site number IE site 3,13,23,33 or 43

Voice channels can be grouped by matching the NAC together IE all channels with a NAC of AD3 will be for the same site ***assuming you cannot hear two sites with the same last digit. If so a look at the signal strength (RSSI) should help separate the two sites from each other.

Nothing has changed on that part of the FleetNet network yet. I have a node and as I type this it is getting OPP without issues.
