i got the usb cable (20-047 ) from radioshack for my pro-2055 today.i payed for and down loaded win97 today.the problem now is i cant open win97 with ( winzip ).ever some thing is wround with my winzip or win97 didn't down load like it should.i need all the help that i can get with winzip as i am not use to using it.winzip97 could be the trouble i just don't know what to do next ?

You need to make sure winzip is installed. Then place your pointer on the win97 file and right click it. The very top line should read EXTRACT WITH WINZIP. Click on that and it should ask where to extract the file. Choose Desktop. that should do it.

First delete that file and start all over. Re-download the win97 software. Also do you have winzip installed??? If you do, download the file again and then right click on the winzip file. There then should be an option of "extract to folder......" click that and the file should automatically extract to a folder to the same location where the zip file is located. (if you downloaded the file to your desktop, that is where the folder will be created). You should then be square away, I think?!

Once you get the program installed, You may want to become a premium subscriber to this site. That way you will be able to use win97 to it's full potential.

i could never get win97 to open up with winzip i kelp getting a error 126 winxxcommon.dll.i deleted winzip and down loaded it again and all so deleted win97 and loaded it again still same trouble. i gave up on winzip and downloaded simplyzip and presto it worked praise the Lord.

I always start in bank #1. Bank #0 would be the logical choice since it's actually before the bank #1 on the scanner.
Yes, if you want, you can program Police in Bank 1, Fire in Bank 2, EMS in Bank 3, etc, etc..
I have mine programmed by town. I have my hometown, in Bank #1, the next closest town in Bank #2, and so on. That way if I only want to hear what's going on in my town, I simply un-select the others, leaving only bank #1 to scan.
My Pro-97 is also set up this way, so if I take it on a trip with me, I can only scan the town that I am in. I have all agencies for that certain town, programmed into it's respective bank.
