Radio Shack Having a Huge sale on Scanners

I heard Radio Shack is having a huge sale on scanners starting the long weekend.Pro 96,s and Pro 2096,s for $399.99 Sounds like a great deal.

$399.99 is what I paid for my pro-96 and Pro 2096 about one year ago.
I thought that was the going price for them as of today.

I guess no one reads the posts here anymore :roll: We have someone who does a good job of keeping us up tp date weeks before the sale actually start, saving some the trouble of buying at a higher price and having to do a pricematch.

399 is not that bad as I paid 499 for mine in Jan of this year. It's been worth it, especially with Win96 and this site...

I may pick-up another at 399...

Does RS have a price guarantee? I just bought two 2096 and one 96 for 449.00 each. I can get them for 399.00 now.

I would be wise to return them all and buy them again while the Aug 6 sale is on if they don't have a price guarantee.

Thats another good reason to buy from Radio Shack you can not beat there warranty and for returns etc. They are the best. Just wish we still had them in Canada lol. It would save me a small drive to the U.S.

How long do you have to do that? I bought one about 3 weeks ago (2096) when it was on sale for 440.

You have 30 days to return the scanner for a full refund.... if you are not totally satisfied.

If they do not do a price guarantee, I will not be satisfied and demand a refund.

Hope this helps. The same 30 days probably applies.

Just got off the phone with my local Radio Shack. They claim they do not honor a price guarantee. What did I expect from them?

So I called the Radio Shack 1-800-843-7422 phone number, and they say there most certainly is a 30 day price guarantee. If I call back after the scanners go on sale Aug 6 a price guarantee will be honored and a refund will be issued.

RS does have a 30 day price guarantee.

If anyone tries to deny it, ask for the DM's phone number, and call him/her up and ask.
Just asking for the DM's phone number will probably get your price guarantee.
Or you could ask to speak with a manager or someone more experienced (which there may or may not be anyone more experienced).

I shoulda mentioned the 30-day stipulation, I was just in a hurry...and it's
pretty much an implied time frame for any 'price guarantee'...sorry to hear
you had to jump thru multiple hoops to get the right answer direct from them...

As others have verified, they do have 30-day price guarantees....it's a fact. My
local RS has done this very thing with me, no hesitation, no problems.

You and anyone else who bought within the last 30 should be to go!!

Should have waited I just bought a pro-2055. But also it was getting harder to find them in stock so I had to jump on this one. I almost didnt get the pro-2055 cause they wouldnt sell it to me at first because they were holding the last one in stock for a TV station

I just got off the phone with Radio Shack, and they did indeed issue a $50 refund on all the pro96 and 2096 scanners I bought.

I had paid 449.00 each, they adjusted them back to the current sale price of 399.00.

Now I have more money to donate to all the local gas stations.
