Hi I was trying to start my own web server stream using RF and UniTrunker.

I am trying to use port 8000, I have forwarded the port, I have added it as a rule in my firewall, but it will not load and keeps timing out, othertimes it will just refuse to connect, what is going on here?
How can I fix this, I am using a VPS for the Web Server, is there anything I have to install on the VPS to be able to listen to it on that port?

The port is completely open, but on the website it is showing up my index.php file from public_html, how do I change this?

I'm not sure what you mean by "I am using a VPS for the Web Server". Also I'm not sure why you are using a VPS or if it is necessary.

What is not loading and timesout?
Do you have RadioFeed loaded on your computer?
Do you have a scanner connected to your computer?
Are you using a Web Browser to connect to the server?
Do you have port # 8000 in the Web Server tab text box labeled Server Port?
Is the Port Forwarding setup using port # 8000 and TCP?
Are you behind a proxy?

In the Web Browser URL, make sure the URL ends with ":8000". Notice the colon. Otherwise the Web Browser will think you want the default port # 80.

Yes I am entering it like that..
Nope no scanner, I'm using UniTrunker to do it..
Port forwarding is all set correctly to port 8000.

RadioFeed is all set up correctly, and I need a VPS because that's tge only plan on my hosting service that doesn't block ports

Maybe a network guru will chime in. I don't know because not really a RadioFeed problem but more of a network problem.

Only thing I can suggest is use a different port besides 8000 in case it's blocked. Also use canyouseeme.org as a troubleshooting tool. Also triple check that you don't have any Internet Security program interfering.

Also, do you have the audio from the scanner going into the computer's sound input?

Yeah I'm not too sure, I have checked the canyouseeme site and that port is open on my end, and it is now loading on the website, just not displaying the server when I start it from RF.

The server can be seen from the outside but is it the RadioFeed Server because you say not displaying when you start it from RadioFeed. Are you turning off the other server. You can't have two servers using the same port at the same time.

In RadioFeed, do you get a message in the Status Log "Port 8000 In Use"?

I can access the Web Server using 58.178.200.239:8000

I think the no ip service you are using has a problem

http://devscan.tk:8000 - no go
58.178.200.239:8000 - good

{edit} devscan.tk lookup is 31.22.7.219. It should be 58.178.200.239

Okay thanks, that's good I have now sorted that out, well you did lol
58.178.200.239 is my IP address to my computer, how would I change that on RadioFeed to go to 31.22.7.219?

You can't change it through software. RadioFeed is running on computer using 58.178.200.239 so that is the address.

What does address 31.22.7.219 have to do with anything? Are you using a no ip service?

{edit} I think on your web site which is 31.22.7.219, you need to re-direct to 58.178.200.239

No it's not a no ip service, I want to be able to listen to the feed on that IP "devscan.tk" or maybe I can change the IP of my website somehow through my hosting plan? I dunno

You could make a http redirect. There's a few ways to do it. One way involves your web site config and another is a redirect on your web page. I would google it and try and see what works best for your setup.

I think you want to redirect all incoming port 8000 traffic to http://58.178.200.239 but if the IP address changes due to router reboot or something then you will need to update the redirect. Later you may want to look into a no ip service so with a name of your choosing, the redirect will go to the URL name but that's later and don't want to confuse you. Just redirect to the 58 address for now.

{edit} I would make the redirect on the web page. It's easier and simpler than the web site method.
