Silver Lake Village Council voted unanimously Monday night to authorize the village to enter a contract with Cuyahoga Falls for fire, EMS and dispatch services.
Silver Lake would pay Cuyahoga Falls $187,369 for the services in 2008, and that figure would increase by 3 percent each year thereafter. With the adoption of the legislation, Silver Lake has ended its long relationship with Stow for those services.
Silver Lake must give Stow 6 months advance notice to opt out of it's existing contract prior to 12/31/08.
