Greetings,
I'm new to the group and I have a question about Ohio Skywarn spotters in southwest Ohio. Is there any specific frequency used by local spotters. Or is it just whatever is open and available at the time?

Usually a 2 meter or 440 repeater designated as the Skywarn Ops channel when needed. I don't believe there's a specific frequency used across the state on on a regional basis. Check with your local ham clubs, or your Skywarn group's website or Facebook page. It may be listed there.

The frequencies for a particular area are governed by the frequencies of the repeaters in that area. Because of the dependence on repeaters, state-wide frequencies are not usually assigned.

Appreciate all the input and information. Different areas always do things a little bit different than others.
