I guess I should mention that I recently switched computers and went from WinXp to Win7 with the newer laptop. In the interest of saving time, I simply copied over my TTD files from one to the next rather than re-entering everyones email addresses.

Do you think this had anything to do with it? The problems started as soon as I switched computers.

See what happens when the tones drop. Fingers crossed.

Has anyone had any luck getting TTD to work in Canada with Bell Mobility? I have tried @txt.bell.ca, @txt.bellmobility.ca and @mms.bell.ca and @mms.bellmobility.ca all with no luck.

is Bell somehow blocking incoming media files?

Would love to hear from someone who has this working on Bell, one of the, if not the biggest cell carrier in Canada

TwoToneDetect has been running fine for me on two computers. But after I switched to Windows 10, on one of my computers it won't start automatically. Both computers are running Windows 10.

Both computers have a shortcut to the executable in the startup folder.

The only differences I can see are that:

1. On one computer the program icon has a little blue and yellow shield over it. The icon on the other computer does not.

2. The computer whose icon does NOT have the shield (and TwoToneDetect starts by itself) starts up without requiring a user to log on. The computer whose icon DOES have the shield requires a user to log on, and the only way to run TwoToneDetect is to start it manually by double-clicking the icon..

Both computers have a TwoToneDetect folder on the desktop and the executable is in that folder..

I'm sure it has to do with users or security, but I can't figure it out. Help?

Any one know how to send the recorded audio to a facebook group ? or does facebook not allow it ?

I have everything set up and works fine ( when checking email / text msg's etc . )
except for posting the audio to facebook groups ,
only the text shows up on my (insert.facebook.group.name)@groups.facebook.com sent messages.

I seen something about email dkim being a issue
anyone ever get it to work or have any success with posting audio to a facebook group ?

HELP!

I had the program working when I installed it the first time. I then went into Tone Detector Configuration to add in the FTP Upload information, and get "Failed to execute script TonesEditor8c". I can not open the program. I have deleted the directory and installed 3 or 4 separate times, even with the correct configuration the program will now no longer detect the tones and activate.

VERY SAD. I thought this program was going to do the job, and was getting ready to donate. :(

Like this?

Let me know if you are still interested.

You send the audio to audioboom, then link the audioboom acct to your facebook acct.

I got it to work using ifttt.com and email triggering , unfortunatly facebook being full of trolls kept reporting the dedicated facebook page i had set up for it as spam and my account i used for it got locked out of facebook for posting all the tone alerts. So yeah i got it to work, maybe to good..

Try running the _debug version of the TonesEditor program from a command prompt. That should give you an error message that will give us some clue as to what's preventing it from opening properly.

VERY SAD.

It looks like there could be more than one issue here. First, it looks like the mp3 file doesn't exist. This is most likely an issue with ffmpeg not being properly installed. If you get that fixed and are still having issues, there may also be problems with your email settings, but lets fix one problem at a time.

Andy

I had a hard time finding ffmpeg, I went to the link https://ffmpeg.zeranoe.com/builds/win32/static/ffmpeg-latest-win32-static.zip but my computer wouldn't let me open it with this message,

This site can’t provide a secure connection

ffmpeg.zeranoe.com uses an unsupported protocol.
ERR_SSL_VERSION_OR_CIPHER_MISMATCH

The one I got was from here https://archive.org/download/ffmpeg-3.2-win32-static

When I remove the ffmpeg from the TTD directory it works fine sending wav files so I believe that the email part is working fine. Doesn't it send to cell phones better in mpeg format? Thank you for your help, I appreciate it.

I'm getting the texts sent to my phone saying that a page has been received, but no audio. What am I missing for the audio of the call to be sent?

Look in the logfiles folder in your TTD directory. The text files are coded by date. Open one that contains a page that you received. Do a search for tone set found. In the log after that there should be some hints.
