Uniden BCD996XT actting strange

I am haveing problems with my 996xt wondering if anyone else has this problem when down loading from scanner i lose talkgroups they all go the 0 and on one system the talkgroup names dont come up only group datebase shows names but not scanner I have tried ARC Proscan and freescan and all have same issue any thoughts

When d/l from scanner to Freescan do you hit "queue system list" to see that it loads all of the info?

when using freescan i queue all systems first

I find it hard to believe that your scanner has selective memory. When you download to the computer are you using a new file with nothing in it?

it happens no matter what,once I down load from scanner all talk groups are gone they are still in scanner but not in file i have to reenter everthing before reloading scanner

Do you possibly have two systems stored in the scanner with the same name? One with TGs and one without TGs. You should see this in freescan in the queued system list but to be sure you could scroll through the systems in the scanner manually.

Do you have the system protect option turned on? Might cause this behavior.

That's good to know. I've never experimented with that.
